Pixel Mechanics has been made aware of fraudulent emails being sent to some of our clients by an individual impersonating Pixel Mechanics and members of our team.
These emails are NOT sent, authorised or endorsed by Pixel Mechanics.
What We Are Aware Of
The fraudulent email we have identified uses Pixel Mechanics’ name, logo and website details. The sender is currently using a gmail address in this pattern:
This is NOT an authorised Pixel Mechanics email address.
The email claims that urgent work to be completed before a stated deadline. It also suggests that a website could be flagged or face restrictions. These claims and requests were NOT issued by Pixel Mechanics.
The sender may change their email address, wording or identity in future messages, so clients should remain cautious even if a suspicious email does not exactly match the example above.
How to Verify Communications From Pixel Mechanics
Please pay close attention to the sender’s full email address, not only the display name or email signature.
If you receive an unexpected request relating to your website, hosting, domain, WordPress installation, plugins, renewals, SEO services, payments or account access, please verify the request directly with your usual Pixel Mechanics contact before taking any action.

What You Should Do If You Receive This Email
- Do NOT reply to the sender.
- Do NOT click unfamiliar links or open unexpected attachments.
- Do NOT provide WordPress, hosting, domain, email or other account credentials.
- Do not make payments or approve work based solely on the email.
- Use your email provider’s Report Phishing function to report the message.
- Contact Pixel Mechanics through your existing contact person or our official website if you are unsure whether a request is genuine.
If you have already replied to the fraudulent sender, clicked a suspicious link, provided login credentials or made a payment, please contact Pixel Mechanics and your internal IT administrator as soon as possible. Passwords that may have been disclosed should also be changed immediately.
If financial information or payments were involved, please contact your bank immediately and lodge a Police Report.
What Pixel Mechanics Is Doing
We are actively investigating the incident and notifying the relevant authorities and service providers.
We are also informing our clients so that similar fraudulent communications can be identified quickly.
Please Help Us Report Similar Messages
If you receive an email, WhatsApp message, social media message or other communication that appears to impersonate Pixel Mechanics, please retain a copy and send the details to your usual Pixel Mechanics contact.
Where possible, please provide the original email rather than only a screenshot, as the original message contains technical information that can assist with investigation and reporting.
We apologise for any concern or inconvenience this fraudulent activity may cause and appreciate our clients’ vigilance.
