Content

You need to know the reason behind making a website. Are you selling a product or a service? Regardless, one of the important elements is that the images used must be in high resolution. One that is able to give the audience a strong first impression when they land on your website.

Organization and structure of the content are important. Consider using point-form to emphasise on your points if the text gets too wordy. Create a wire-frame and simply draw/digitally create your ideal website in boxes to get a general idea of what you envision.

Logo

A brand logo is used to identify a brand. It has to be as unique as possible, and reflect their nature of business. There will be a lot of iteration done to finalise a brand logo. Consider asking some questions such as  “Would I want to change my logo in years to come?”. These help to ensure that there won’t be a need for a constant revamping of the logo as time goes by.

Tips on designing a logo:

  1. Keep It Simple: Your audience should be able to understand what you are selling based on your logo.
  2. Suitable Font: The font type should reflect the nature of your business. For e.g., If you are selling something related to nature, you would not want to use grunge fonts.
  3. Appearance: Your logo should look good in both colored and black-and-white. For visualising purposes, always design your logo in black-and-white before adding colors.
